Golf

There is a vast choice of championship Golf Courses available in the area - these are just a few:

La Duquesa

This is one of the Costa del Sol’s most spectacular and varied courses. 18 holes, with long fairways, the front and back nines offer two distinctly different challenges.  Facilities include buggies as well as electric trolleys, putting green, golf lessons and driving range.  Includes a Pro shop, clubhouse and restaurant, gym and sauna.

Sotogrande

This one of the earliest courses to be designed on the Costa del Sol by Robert Trent Jones. That it has matured magnificently is best appreciated in the view from the 12th tee.  Facilities include buggies as well as electric trolleys, putting green, golf lessons and driving range.  Includes a Pro shop, clubhouse and restaurant, pool, tennis, gym, jacuzzi and sauna.

San Roque

A complex that now represents one of the best golf courses in Europe: a magnificent 5-star hotel is complemented by two wonderful 18 hole golf courses.

The Old Course’s tight, sloping fairways are lined by mature, venerable cork oak trees, which demand straight, accurate driving. Strategic bunker placement and deceptive water hazards threaten all but the most precise approach shots.  Facilities include buggies, putting green, golf lessons and driving range.  Includes a Hotel, clubhouse and restaurant, tennis, squash and pool.

Valderrama

>Designer Robert Trent Jones is quoted as saying: - I think Valderrama is a classic championship golf course. It’s like Augusta... in about as good condition as any golf course can get..." For years now it has been recognized as the standard bearer for Spanish golf, hosting many Volvo Masters as well as the Ryder Cup.

Facilities includes buggies as well as electric trolleys, putting green, golf lessons and driving range.  Includes a Pro shop, clubhouse and restaurant and gallery.
